Welcome to Kansas State University's College of Business Administration!
We are seeking talented, dedicated, ambitious students and faculty.
We
offer a very dynamic curriculum guided by business executives
throughout the country. Our curriculum, both at the undergraduate and
graduate levels, is designed to challenge students and teach team-building
skills. Our College currently has 67 full-time equivalent faculty
members and an enrollment of approximately 2850 undergraduate
and 122 graduate students. Students face challenges ranging
from case studies of various businesses to group and individual projects
to
assisting businesses by developing problem-solving techniques
.
We have outstanding faculty who pride themselves on assisting
students with their academic endeavors, internships, career planning,
and job searches. The faculty continuously challenges students to reach
their potential. They bring business experience into the classroom and
conduct research so that the students will have access to the latest information
available to businesses.
We approach education as a team effort. Our faculty and staff work with
students to ensure that the students will excel in their chosen fields
after graduation. The undergraduate program offers accounting,
financial controllership, financial management, financial services,
management
information systems, human resource management, marketing, operations
management, general management, entrepreneurship program and a certificate
in international business. The College also offers a minor in business.
Undergraduates enter the College in the Business Administration
Pre-Profession program (BAPP).
In this program, students fulfill general university requirements and
take several of their core business classes. After approximately two
years
in the program, students declare an official major field of study.
Our graduate students also have an excellent faculty working with them
to ensure student success in the business world after graduation. Graduate
students in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program spend
their first year and a half taking the general business courses required
of all our MBA candidates. They are then eligible to choose a concentration
area in finance, management, or enterprise information systems. Many
graduate students choose to receive their Master of Accountancy
(MAcc) through the Department of Accounting. Specialty areas in the MAcc program
include financial accounting and auditing, management accounting/controllership,
taxation, or enterprise information systems. For accounting students
seeking their 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam, either
the MBA or the MAcc program will fulfill the additional requirement.
As testimony to the outstanding caliber of programs offered at Kansas
State University's College of Business Administration, the College is
among only 25% of business schools and colleges in the nation that are
accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
- AACSB International. The Department of Accounting has achieved
separate national accreditation, distinguishing the accounting program
as one of the best programs in the nation.
A degree from the KSU College of Business Administration is an investment
that is certain to yield high returns for talented, ambitious, dedicated
students. We offer you dynamic, challenging classes
taught by devoted, thoughtful, demanding faculty. The lifelong benefits
