The finance curriculum at Kansas State University allows the student to specialize in Financial Management, or Financial Services, or Financial Controllership.
- Financial Management Track- The Financial Management Track provides the student with analytical skills for the analysis, evaluation, and reporting of financial information. These activities are ultimately used in managerial decision making by a variety of businesses and regulatory agencies. Graduates in this track are expected to seek careers in the controller's or the treasurer's division of a business, in investment banking, management consulting, and in regulatory agencies. - Financial Services Track - The Financial Services Track provides a broad knowledge of financial markets, institutions, and services. The curriculum in this track is designed to prepare the student for providing financial products and services to the consumer. Graduates in this track are expected to seek careers in commercial banking, consumer lending, brokerage services, financial planning, insurance, and real estate. - Financial Controllership Track - The financial controllership track supplements the analytical focus of the financial management track with additional accounting skills. This track is designed for those who intend to pursue careers related to the controllership function of a firm
