A COLLEGE FOR A CHANGING WORLD

Transfer Students

General Information:
Transfer students:
About 30% of the students in the College of Business Administration (CBA) are transfer students primarily from 2-year community colleges located throughout the state of Kansas.

K-State’s admission office invites students to participate in transfer enrollment in April, June or August. Student services strongly encourage transfer students to participate in the April orientation and enrollment. Transfer orientation and enrollment is a day long program that starts with an orientation to K-State in our student union followed by an orientation to the CBA. The last part of the program is an advising appointment with your assigned advisor for enrollment of classes for the upcoming semester. Plan to stay on campus for the entire day. Students are required to participate on one of the orientation days to be able to enroll in classes.

Transfer students need to keep in mind that pre-enrollment advising starts early here at K-State. Student services provides instructions for pre-enrollment advising and enrollment via e-mail each semester. This e-mail is sent out in the month of September and February for spring and summer/fall semester respectively. In order to stay informed about policies and news within the CBA, it is imperative that you frequently check your assigned K-State e-mail account. If you choose to use a different e-mail account, it’s your responsibility to have all your e-mails forwarded to the desired account.
