Honors Program

Overview
The University Honors Program at K-State is designed to provide opportunities for motivated and talented students to enhance their education in the University, within the community, and at an international level. The Program is available to all students at K-State; however requirements may differ depending on the student's major.

Admission Requirements
Freshmen entering the College of Business Administration (CBA) at K-State with a 3.75 or higher high school GPA and an ACT score of 28 or better are eligible to apply for the University Honors Program. Transfer students must have at least a 3.5 or higher transfer GPA to be considered for admission.

University Honors Program
Non-credit course for tracking purposes. Business honors should enroll in this course each semester.

Business Orientation
(Honors Section)
A general orientation to the University and the CBA, study skills, the enrollment process, and to the various career options in business.

Introduction to the University Honors Program
Overview of the University Honors Program including directions, goals, and student requirements for completion of the program.

Select University Honors Courses Students must complete at least six units of University Honors courses of their choosing. View past courses.

GENBA 299
Honors Colloquium in Business
Discussions and lectures on topics of interest to business students.

GENBA 399
Honors Seminar
Designed as a follow-up course to GENBA 299, it prepares students for the business honors project. It also provides a forum for all honors students who are working on their business honors projects to share and discuss their project ideas.

GENBA 499
Business Honors Project
Independent study in an intellectual endeavor (research or creative activity) under the supervision of a faculty member. The project must be approved by the CBA Honors Director in consultation with the faculty supervisor and the University Honors Program Director.

MANGT 595
Business Strategy
(Honors Section)
An integration of previous courses through the study of problems in policy formulation and implementation. Cases and current topics with emphasis on strategic planning. Open only to seniors or non-business graduate students.
