Internships
Competitive Advantage
Business experience and the application of accounting concepts can be an important addition to regularly scheduled course work in the Accounting Department. The accounting department consistently places 65-70 interns a year in public and private firms. All accounting internships are paid internships. Students are paid what a starting staff accountant is paid and most of the students receive job offers upon completion of the internship. This is generally enough to help them pay for their next year of school and can provide a competitive advantage in the job market.
